Fighter Profile: Demetrious Johnson

Demetrious 'Mighty Mouse' Johnson is the most revered and accomplished active champion fighting today. He is a mixed martial icon to hard core fans and woos every time out with his fanciful footwoork and blinding speed. 'DJ' is on a 10 fight win streak with half of those wins coming by finish. Benavidez, Cejudo, Dodson...all top 5 contenders for years and none could break through the Mighty one's puzzling style.

The fluidity of Johnson's striking and grappling is beautiful to watch...he not only thinks in battle but listens to his brilliant coach Matt Hume as he breaks down the opponent in the third person. Each time 'Mighty Mouse' fights he gains more experience and lethality to his arsenal...one must be perfect to obtain a draw with Demetrious, you can not outshine something so immaculate.

Fighter Profile: Tim Elliot

Timothy Elliot is a former 'UFC' flyweight fringe contender, 'Titan FC' champion, and the 'TUF: Tournament of Champions' winner. The 24th season of 'The Ultimate Fighter' pit the best flyweights in the world against each other, of these 24 champions there would be one left to face the flyweight king of the world. Tim Elliot makes his return with a new found confidence and chip on his shoulder; he has defeated the best of the best outside the UFC and is ready to reclaim his spot as a real threat to the division.

Tim's first fight back in the actual Octagon is for the title against not only the best flyweight of all time, but against the current champion and reigning #1 pound for pound fighter in the world. This is a sturdy test for the unorthodox grappler, but the tournament has shown us Tim's ability to hang with very fast and powerful flyweight fighters with ease...this is his reckoning.

The Matchup

This battle of kings brings a new ground for the UFC platform, never has such a tournament been had...and never has such a tournament been won. Tim Elliot winning the tourney has shown he is one of the best outside of the UFC, but his coaches and the champion have shown they are dominant within the ranks of the greatest fighters in the world. As volatile and out of order mma can become, there are a few staples in the cosmos that are here to stay.

It seems to be universal law that Demetrious Johnson can no longer lose in the 125-pound division; he has truly slaughtered the best of the best of the best with ease... The UFC formulated the flyweight tournament and televised it to create a young champion from the midst, but instead they received a former fringe contender who had taken brutal losses to men DJ has made look like boys. This seems to be a mismatch in most eyes, but in martial arts it becomes one man against one man.....and the crown lies heavy when held for too long.

How to Play

• Vote on the main post to enter the bet (main post rewards will also be added to the Stake Pool).

• Cast your Vote Bet on ONLY ONE outcome for which you bet on for the win (Multiple comment votes will be automatically disqualified by the script, unvote and revote counts as multiple votes and will be disqualified).

• After 24 hours, the post and related game comments payout to the pool; remember 25% voters rewards are deducted from the total post payout value first as per Steem curation rules. Voters are rewarded in standard fashion in proportion to their Steem Power holdings.

The Stake Pool:

• The remaining 75% of the total payout is paid out in 50% Steem Power and 50% in liquid currencies, the latter now varies in payout ratio after the new fork. To make the process less complicated, we have decided to use all paid out SBD to buy Steem in the internal market to create a grand total Steem Stake Pool.

• 30% of the Stake Pool will be retained, of which 15% will go to the writer/sports presenter of the post, and the 15% balance towards editing, development and advertising.

• 70% of the Stake Pool will be held until the event/game outcome is determined.

• Once the winning outcome is determined, we will execute a proprietary developed script that will divide and pay out the Steem rewards equally, using the Power Up method, to Mass Distribute SP to all participants that voted on the main post as the entrance fee as well as voted on the correct comment representing the winning outcome.

• Only participants with a Reputation of 35 or more will qualify to earn SP rewards, but non-qualifiers can still vote and comment in support of the redistribution initiative.

• Entry cut-off time is the earlier of the post payout or the start of the event.
