Starting my hand poured silver journey!!
Ok I think it’s that time to do it. I just ordered everything that I think I need to get started pouring my own bars and ingots. This is pretty much going to be a learning experience from the beginning! I’ve became fascinated with hand poured silver in the last month so I’ve decided I’m gonna try to make my own. Has anyone tried making their own? This is what I just ordered...
I’m sure there is gonna be a lot more I need, I’ve been watching lots of videos and think I have atleast the basics. Hopefully by this time next week I will be experimenting!! If you have any pointers or any tips let me know in the comments! Thanks for reading!!
Wonderful
Thanks!
Friendly advice. Cancel the order and get a tabletop. Those furnaces suck and you got a 3kg. Wayyy too big unless your gonna pour 20+ ozt bars all day. But awesome that your throwing your hat in the ring. Ohbalso that mold is gonna be hard too. Get a single cavity mold
Ok, thanks for the input, what would you get to melt with?
Furnace or use a torch and crucible?
Look up the "tabletop furnace co" get yourself a 30 👍
Will do, thanks a lot!!
Looking forward to seeing your first pieces ... no matter what they look like ... they are keepers :):):)
Thank you!!
I am looking forward to the next chapter of this amazing adventure. Keep on !
Should be interesting!! Thanks!
Great to hear your going to give it shot. Poured silver has become quite popular and there are a bunch of friendly people here with experience to help. I see you've met Pit, hes one of the best!
Thanks and yeah I will listen to anyone with experience!!
I’ve been playing around with it for awhile now. Didn’t buy a furnace, melting in ceramic crucibles. Good luck can’t wait to see them.
Should be interesting!! Lol
It sure isn’t as easy as it looks.
I figure, I’m sure it will be a learning experience!!
no doubt. Cheers🍺
When are we going to get an update on this ? Did your order arrive? Have you made anything yourself ? Would love to see the results, hopefully they are going to be satisfying to you = ) Remember practice makes perfect.
Thank you for contributing to the Steemit Community.Keep up the great work and I'm looking forward to your next posts.
I stopped the order on the furnace, I’m trying to figure out which one to get. I’m looking at a smaller one or just using a torch and a crucible. I promise I will show my first pour!! Thanks!
Looking forward to it = )
