Why Do I Steem? — An answer to Father Ray

I was about a month- month and a half behind Ray. But I think we connected pretty quick. This was right about the time ssg became a baby Frankenstein (or, more accurately, became a baby monster of Dr. Frankenstein — don’t fuck with the literature dude!)

Anyway, back then i already hated fb and was keen to check some other options out — plus, i heard you could make real money here. Once i arrived i was bewildered! I had been swapping cryptos for years, but admit it, this Steemit motherfucker is a hard one to learn in the beginning.

Hilariously, my first post was titled “bullion” ‘cause i thought: there’s gotta’ be other stackers out there — and man o man was that correct!

It’s like having a weird fetish that nobody understands and then finally finding your way into a meeting of friends of: ear-wax sculpting club!

I was Home!

Yackin’ metals, cracking jokes, taking pictures, stacking ounces, getting metal pervy with a bunch of other geniuses has been great! This has been the best Forum i have ever been a member of. And, it has provided an outlet for some very satisfying writing experiences. Talking to nobody in a “Journal” got boring 20 years ago, so it’s great to have interaction with a group of real people, with real personalities and real stories to tell.

I will admit that i was lured to Steemit because of the money, and this continues to be an amazing experiment — but i’m also staying around because of this:

Some of the copy/paste a-holes still get an upvote from me ‘cause: honey badger don’t care! But i’ll tell you this, it’s only the true supporters who get the captain’s shiny — same as it ever was...
