Stacking in the Seventies!
So i was down in the Vault room today, having a look through the rows and rows of stacked bullion i have there, and swimming some laps in the pool i installed — it’s even got a swim up bar! We’re talking major bullshit right now! Bah ha ha...
Anyway, some if it’s kinda true... i did come across some Canadian silver from the seventies that has been tucked away for some time.

The coins are some of my original collection — back when i was just a baby stacker. Looking at them now comes with it a new appreciation of just how cool this shit is! I always liked it lots, but that was before the stackitus got a hold. Lately i have been susceptible to long hours of glazed eyeballs and picky fingertips. It’s getting bad!
However, there is some relief! I have been gifted some proper attire and the means to get a hold of some 24k gold dice — wow! Just thinking about it has alleviated some of the psychological trauma i have been experiencing lately — the fear of stacking too little!

Hey @thedamus. I've read through your posts and you seem to know a lot about silver/gold trading. I've read a lot of articles about the benefits of silver/gold. I especially think it's interesting how the values effect each other in times of war for example (the gold standard).
Do you have a post on the best way to get into purchasing gold? I've looked into purchasing silver/gold from U.S. mint as coins, but I don't know what I don't know. For example, is there a better time to buy? Who is the best to buy from right now? Are there better times to purchase coins vs. other silver/gold items. What's best for "casuals" that just want to build a strong retirement/trust chest?
If you don't have a post for noobs, can you write one?
Also, do you have any d.tube videos? Are you thinking of posting? Articles are good for details, but sometimes cutting through cruft is easier on video.

I don’t have any video of any silver/gold discussion and have yet to figure out the d tube crap. I know it’s easy but haven’t got around to it.
Here’s what i can offer though:
It sounds like you’re in the States if you’re looking on line, and reputable bullion dealers abound. Off the cuff, there is: Apmex, Silvergoldbull, Pit Bullion (he is right here on ssg) and many others besides. Just google it and stick to ones with high ratings — or ask @raybrockman... he’s prolly got a dozen on speed dial lol.
Now, what to buy? Coins are great. For US and Can they’re avail from 1/20th of an oz right up to 1 full ounce (1/20, 1/10, 1/4, 1/2). Some people like these more as they are easy to identify and have a gov’t promise they are mde of what the say they are. Personally, i love the canadian version: the GML (gold maple leaf). However, once you start looking through catalogues on-line you are going to discover a lot of really gorgeous stuff — be warned! Lol
Bars go from 1g up to 400oz “good delivery” bars that banks use. These too are available on line.
Another place you can buy is from a bullion shop/currency exchange — again, just goog for your area. Oh yeah, and don’t forget about pawn shops... although you will rarely find the best deals there — but sometimes...
As far as when the best time to buy is, i would have to say yesterday, and leave it at that. Although the mrket has tended to soften T the end of each month, just a little and not always, so maybe people are paying bills or maybe i’m hallucinating.
I’d stick with reputable refinery products or coins to start. (Note: gov’ts issue “coins” the other round things are called just that “rounds.”

Woah, the silver stamps collection! Cool beans bro. And you already know of my fondness for the sterling Olympic coins! Those have been like gems for me at the LCS! I'll be heading there tomorrow and wouldn't mind if he had some more of them, I get them for spot+10%! But no fancy box for them 😥.
