100 OUNCE HUNT SILVER BAR !!!
Here is a 100 Troy ounce piece of silver history. In the 1970's, the Hunt brothers began accumulating large amounts of silver. By the time 1979 rolled around, they had almost cornered the global market. Because of this, the price of silver began to rise close to $50 per ounce. It's estimated they profited 2 to 4 billion in silver speculation and were guessed to have over 100 million troy ounces of silver. The price of silver dropped 2 months later to a low of around $11 per ounce. The largest drop of silver prices occurred on what they call 'Silver Thursday'.
In 1985, the Hunt brothers were charged with manipulating silver contracts. They filed for bankruptcy in 1988 as the contracts had been called in and they were unable to produce the silver bullion to back them.
With a sharp rise of silver price, I could part with a lot of my bullion, but I think this Hunt bar is a keeper. Does anyone else have any Hunt brothers bars?

Hey @Silverton! There was recent confirmation that this is not actually a hunt brothers silver bar. The hunt stamp comes from a bullion shop in New York know as Jack Hunt Silver and Gold. They are still operating today. This discovery was made when a friend of mine who works at Jack Hunt discovered the HUNT stamp on the owners desk. That is when further confirmation was made.
