Friday treat turned in a double Friday Treat, Look what i got #285
Was almost finished work today and thought, steak would be nice tonight. I'll call into Lidl on the way home and get some rib eyes and drinking yogurt, i love that stuff.
Look what i got
This bad boy caught my eye on the way to the till/checkout. I walked toward it rubbing my hands and licking my lips. As i walked over i seen above it the price tag of £12.99 and my legs wobbled and i had to lean on one of the open freezers to stop myself from falling over. I took a few deep breathes and went for it and grabbed one. I could feel the weight and knew it was good. I use my push bike for work and could only fit 1 in my backpack, i asked if they could hold another one back for me and they refused, they would even let me pay for it then and collect it later. So whatever, i got the one and im happy with it. Steaks were good as well with home made chips, onion rings and pepper sauce.
It claims to hold 205 coins upto 45mm, no good for my quadrum capsules but screw the trays, this will be a nice home for my boxed stuff. Will be nice to clear them out of the monster boxes as they are jam packed at the minute.
It feels pretty strong and i think it could take a drop from a window if that a way to describe its strength. Opened it up and was happy enough with what i saw. Still was not that sure how 205 coins fit inside.
Took out all the tray and the further i went the smaller the inserts got. If you can see the bottom tray, it might be good for sovereigns maybe but it might take me a lifetime to fill it.
Her she is emptied, screw the trays. The top of the box is lined with a super thick, super spongy form. There is 4 square foam pads in the corners which will help secure my boxed stuff.
It also has a set of keys also and is doubled locked. I pretty sure a crow bar would do the job so i doubt i will ever use them. I mean look at the keys, i could make a replica by cutting a coke can up. Nice feature all the same.
For £12.99 i got a bargin
If i decide i want to store my quadrum capsules in here, im could uy spare trays from somewhere :)

Pretty awesome case. I have a similar one for collectible US coins. Not silver or gold coins, but the same concept. Pretty cool
I went back this morning to get some drinking yogurt and muffins but all sold. Im gonna play with it this afternoon and get it filled out :)

I did'nt play with it yet, gonna get the stack out this afternoon and re-sort everything into its new home. Screw the trays, i want a big space for boxed and carded stuff.
That's alright for £13. Looks sturdy. Good find, was that a special or just stuff they had laying around?
They have weekly offers, they always have some good stuff. Its basically 1 full row of offers running the length of the shop and it has a little of everything in there. I have picked up some good tools sets in the past. I saw a drone for £40 that had a decent webcam and you control it from your phone. Living in the future for 40 brick, what an age to be alive.
i got a couple of those last year they are great but the coins can fall out if you lift the case up because theres a gap between the lid foam and the top tray, an extra tray fits, two extra at a squeeze or maybe cut a 1cm thick piece of foam to go on top :)
I missed them last year, haha. I even said that to the guy on the till. I am gonna take the trays out and use it to store my boxed stuff, its taking up to much space in my monster boxes. It will be stored flat.
