Good afternoon my stacking friends....
So I was back in the area of the place I scored a bunch of the Engelhard Prospector Rounds today. I didn’t call ahead but I did stop in anyway.
And I’m glad that I did.....
He had just bought ten ounces from someone that morning. Most were holiday bars, but he did have this little nugget for me in the bunch.....
It’s a vintage Hoffman & Hoffman Eagle Round. It was struck in 1981 and these puppies have a big primo to collectors. He knew what he had so I wasn’t able to swipe it away for a song. But I did manage to get it.
It’s in fantastic condition considering it’s age. Still has great detail and minimal scratches on the reverse.
Take a lookie.....

That is a really cool round. I don't have one in my collection, but will keep an eye out now.
Hoffman & Hoffman are the shit dude. They are the hidden gem of collecting. They are far more rare then Engelhard rounds.
