A trip north and an epic meetup & swap with a legend!
I traveled north to Canada for work - a blast a cross the country, first flying a time zone east to start in Toronto for two days, followed by a quick two days in Vancouver before a 6am flight on Friday morning to head home. I was looking hard for a coin/bullion shop close enough to hit after work, but wasn't having any luck.

After getting some confirmation that nothing would be open past 5pm. thedamus suggested we meet up for a few drinks and to swap some silver. While kicking around where too meet, we ended on probably the perfect location for someone not familiar with the city. The Fairmont @ the Vancouver Airport. Easy to find, tons of transportation, with great views drinks.

and Two Untouched 1963 Canadian Halves - look mint fresh. Look at that sick coat of arms on the back.

A while back, a relative gave me all of her old Canadian coins. I haven’t gone through them all yet, but I skimmed through them, and there’s actually some old silver quarters and dimes in there!

Free/Found silver is some of the best silver. Its a nice boost to the ol stack that doesn't set you back. Plus depending on the age, some of the Canadian stuff has sick coat of arms on the backs and are just straight up lookers.
Got a ton of old nickels made out of nickel, too!
