RE: My Daughter's Fantastic Perth Mint Coin Set.
Interesting that I stumbled on you. I am reading a book about Central Australia, very dense psychogeographical tome called "Writing Home" by Glenn Morrison. The U of Melbourne sent it to me to review. I have never been Down Under but I admire the art and culture and have a few online friends from there. Following!
G'day. Cool. That book seems to based in Alice Springs - that's just down the the main road from where I am in Darwin......almost exactly 1,500 kilometres.
We're in the tropics and they're in the desert.
Just down the main road haha! Next town over really.
That is a really nice set also man. I remember when it was released by the Perth Mint.
Actually, there's a couple of reasonable sized towns and quite a few roadhouses and petrol stations between us and Alice Springs. If you get up early enough in the morning you can do the trip in a day. I should do a post on what the trip's like.
Yeah, it's a really colourful set! Perth Mint coins are always really cool.
Yeah I know the NT has lot of places in between. I was trying to make a joke by understating the distance and saying its not far its just the next town over.
Me too. 3 towns in 1,500 kms is not many.
