# 150 - America the Beautiful Quarters - Part 10
Continuing the State Quarters series, the US Mint started in 2010 a new series depicting a national park or national site, one from each state, the District of Columbia, and each territory. It is called "America the Beautiful".
They will be issued in the order of which that park or site was deemed a national site.
Each year five different coins representing five different parks or sites will be minted.
All the coins obverses show the same profile of George Washington and the reverses were usually chosen in popular contests in each state.
Here are three more coins issued in this series.
The first is the 2015 "Blue Ridge Parkway" in North Carolina. It was deemed a National Park on June 30, 1936. The obverse depicts a short stretch of the Blue Ridge Parkway, with flowering dogwood in the foreground.
The second is the 2015 "Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge" in Delaware. It was deemed a National Park on June 22, 1937. The obverse depicts a great blue heron, with a great egret behind it, in a salt marsh.
The third is the 2015 "Saratoga National Historical Park" in New York. It was deemed a National Park on June 1, 1938. The obverse depicts a close-up of John Burgoyne surrendering his sword to Horatio Gates.

I have been a collector for around 40 years. Only in the last year I started stacking.
That set must be a very impressive to see I hope you will show a photo of them all !!!!!
This series has 50 coins. I can't take a photo of 50 slabs but I will show them all.
Look at the finish of the Blue Ridge Parkway... a selected tiny area of mirror-like finish and the rest are satin finish, to show the beauty of the park. But my favorite is the Heron!
