# 125 - 1992 Canadian Quarters - Part 4
In 1992, to commemorate the 125th Anniversary of Canada, the Royal Canadian Mint issued twelve different designs representing a familiar scene from each of the twelve provinces and territories of Canada.
Each coin weights 5.9g with silver purity of 92.5% and Proof finish.
It was emited also, with the same design, a series of twelve nickel coins.
We will show today the last three quarters.
The first one is "Quebec" depicting Perce Rock. Located in the Gulf of St. Lawrence it is an important Bird Sanctuary.
The second is "Saskatchewan" depicting ears of wheat, grain elevators, and a train of Canadian Wheat Board hopper cars.
The third is "British Columbia" depicting an orca surfacing with the Coast Mountains in the distance.

I don't understand why RCM doesn't have a museum. The Americans have all their coins on Smithsonian Institute. Why can't Canada do the same?
