# 122 - 1992 Canadian Quarters - Part 3
In 1992, to commemorate the 125th Anniversary of Canada, the Royal Canadian Mint issued twelve different designs representing a familiar scene from each of the twelve provinces and territories of Canada.
Each coin weights 5.9g with silver purity of 92.5% and Proof finish.
It was emitted also, with the same design, a series of twelve nickel coins.
We will show today the next three quarters.
The first one is "Prince Edward Island"" depicting Cousins Shore. Prince Edward Island is known for its white sandy beaches, potato fields and the birthplace of Anne of Green Gabels.
The second is "Ontario" depicting two Jack Pines surrounded by scattered rocks.
The third is "Nova Scotia" depicting the famous Lighthouse at Peggy's Cove.

This series was minted during 1992, one each month. Along with these silver coins, RCM minted nickel circulating coins with the same design each month.
