Provident Metals Announce latest Design in the Egyptian Gods series!steemCreated with Sketch.

The time has finally come for the new release in the Egyptian Gods series of 2ounce, super high relief, fine Silver coins by Provident Metals. The Wonderful Heidi Wastweet has been hard at work designing and sculpting the reliefs ready for manufacture of the dies, and she has come up with another incredible work of art! The first two coins in the series were 'Cleopatra' and 'Anubis', the design chosen for number three is 'Sobek' the crocodile God who symbolises Strength Power and Fertility. They should be available to order from December.

sobek.pngThe mintage of this round is set for only 16 142 pieces, that's less than half the amount of cleopatra so this one will be sought after and collectable. The next release after Sobek is due in March of next year.

Known as 'Lord of the Waters' he stands with crossed arms. He carries a staff and wears a headdress. A contemporary rendering of the Nile River flows behind him, with plants growing from the soil to symbolize fertility.

The reverse of the coin is similar throughout the series but the animals and symbology vary depending on the chosen God, here the crocodile perches across the table with river motifs.
The level of relief that Heidi Wastweet manages to achieve in these designs is outstanding! She is without a doubt one of the best coin sculptors on the planet. We stackers are lucky to have her as she portrays true beauty and perfection in her work. Here is the youtube video from Provident showing the unboxing of the master Sculpts ready for producing the dies!

Huge shoutout to @edxserverus for making me a sick banner for my homepage, please go and vote for him in Ray Brockmans Steemit Silver Coin Giveaway, I think he really deserves one since he created the design for STAXX the #steemsilvergold voting bot. To the readers of the post: Short links are provided by url shortening services. The short links they provide can be useful in some cases. Generally their use is benign.
