The Year of the Dog gets even better with a Gold Coin!

Yesterday, I received my Rwanda Year of the Dog 2018 Gold 1 oz.

It is really a stunning beauty:

When I started buying silver coins recently, I had no plans to buy gold coins.

However, I really love the motif of this coin, I am born in the Year of the Dog (1982), and I can also see that the Year of the Rooster 2017 has appreciated significantly in price.

If you want a new gold coin to your stack, I would highly recommend buying this one.

I bought mine at AURINUM.

Because the mintage is so low (188), there is just a few coins available, but there is of today still one for sale at APMEX.

I bought some gold recently, i discoverd that coins are more expensive but you also get more for them :)

That is one beautiful coin. Great share!

I am in love <3

Very pretty coin I was thinking about getting some Kongo Silver coins and the Rwanda ones as well.

I was not sure if there are any moralic issues with getting precious metals from there.

The Rwanda lunar series is my favourite, and I do have some silver coins as well.
I have not thought deeply into the moralic side of this, but I believe in general that trade is beneficial for a country. Much better than foreign aid. Rwanda is one of the most progressive countries in central Africa according to my (albeit limited) knowledge. I just found another gold coin (this stacking thing is addictive) that are going to be released with one of my favourite designs, namely the Barbados dollar:

That's a beautiful coin, @janusface! Do you think gold in general is undervalued at the current price? Or do you think it's a good investment mainly because of the low mint?

Both. I believe precious metal (especially silver) should start a longer bull period soon (perhaps already started?). This particular coin has high numismatic value do to scarcity and attractive design. I bought it mainly because I like the coin. So I am going to HODL it:)

Ah, alright. I remember reading about how you very thinking silver was very bullish, but I didn't know you think the same of gold. And thanks for answering my questions; as I said before I'm not very knowledgeable about precious metals and investing in them, but I'm interested in learning, so it's very nice to get answers like this one :)

Interessant!

Awesome boss! This one I really like!

A great coin indeed and what a low mintage. Shadow stack showed me this one in 2017 while he complained a bit about the price etc. I am a regular client of Aurinum and sometimes email with the owner Andre. Great post.

Yes, the price is pretty high, but personally it is worth it because I love the design:) The silver coins are great too though, and cheaper.

Beautiful coin!
