I have decided to open this debate about the message embedded in my coin design, in principle the message was "the effort should be rewarded" but it has not been liked by all so I have chosen to accept a suggestion and I have substituted the word effort for quality. I am not against this but I am a faithful believer that to do something of quality it is necessary the effort, maybe there should be no message and I should leave the design to free interpretation, I leave this little debate to your consideration and the 3 designs to leave your comments about it.
I look forward to your constructive criticism in order to improve the design.
I prefer "effort" myself. Also, at first glance I thought the guy on the mountain was a bigfoot... I will formally request him being changed to a bigfoot, lol!
I would prefer Quality since it is more like a Noun, a result, a product. Effort, the Verb, is an ingredient of that result. Quality can be diminished if say that the construction materials are poor but the same effort was also put into a house using better materials, get what I'm saying?
Agree. You can put much effort in a bad product, than it is a waist of energy. Why should this be rewarded.? Th result is what counts. But the design of the coin looks good, i wonder how it looks on a real coin
quality is subjective, so quality according to who? What i consider the best post in the world you might think is trash. its just like music, what one person considers quality music another might hate and think is garbage. doesnt mean one is is better quality it just means quality is subjective.
IMO atleast.
@edxserverus I like "The Effort" best. I am the oldest one that will probably comment since I am 60 years old. So with my Life's Wisdom I figure what I have to say probably stands the test of time.
I think the design looks better without any words. If the war was between effort of quality i think effort is more suitable, someones effort is undeniable but quality is subject to interpritation. But a penny for your thoughts is more realistic lol.
I'm with you, effort does deserve to be rewarded. Some posts are, for a better word crap, but you can just tell the time and "effort" someone has put in to their posts. Some people are just poor an expressing their thoughts and getting it down in a blog eludes them.
Some people have the gift to talk about any old bullshit and make it interesting.
Does quality with no effort deserve more respect than effort without quality??
Yeah, I agree it deserves reward but its not really the situation on steemit unfornatly.
IMO the point of the chain is building blocks, proof of work and stuff. I think quality of content deserves reward but i think it should be quality according to the whole market not a couple people. The way the power structure is though that will never be.
i agree that time and effort deserve to be rewarded, now if the reward has to be money then i might not agree. sometimes the feeling of doing a good job is reward or a thank you from a friend, or just the feeling of completing something finally might be the reward. So if i put forth the effort of 3 weeks to covering a wall in poop 12 hrs a day i might not get rewarded with money but in the end im rewarded with creating the wall of poop i set out to make.
lol
maybe some rich whale will think its "quality" and drop a couple hundred in my wallet for it but even if not there is a reward.
:D
Also at some point we might need to look around if we are puting in to much effort and not getting the reward we were looking for, at that point it might be better to find a new area to put ones effort and time into if the last attempt didnt pay off as much as planned.
:D
Sorry bout the rambling, i tend to ramble on stuff like this.
Very nice design! Good luck.

I second the bigfoot request!
very insightful.

I hate the wording part.
lol

Quality is subjective.
I agree with you. Which is why the original message of "the effort deserves to be rewarded" was right as far as I'm concerned
