Bikes, Beach, Bananas and a Bit o’ Silver

We are back from California.

The end of vacation is always such a let down, but we used our last day in the Golden State wisely.

First we rode bikes along Huntington Beach. The bikes were included with our hotel! Dreamy.

Then it was time to have a little explore of Newport Beach.

You can spot a few surfers waiting for the perfect wave.

This guy was straight chillin’ waiting for a snack.

After a little explore we left Newport Beach Pier and headed for Balboa Island, our goal... obtain a chocolate covered banana.

Original frozen banana. 🍌🍌🍌

I skipped the banana and went straight for a Balboa Bar - Vanilla Icecream, Chocolate coating, drizzle of salted caramel.

Hubs got the banana.

Embarrassing picture, but it’s not of me so.... 😇😁😬😂🤣😄

After snacks we walked down the street and stumbled upon this!

Another vacation coin shop visit! The shop workers/owners were super nice. They were also apologetic because most of their coins were packed up and headed to some kind of show later in the evening. However, I managed to make one purchase.

2016, $5, Canadian 🇨🇦, Superman coin! 1oz, .9999 fine. 💕

The Queen is on the otherside (no one cares), and there is one tiny milk spot. Regardless, I am still really happy about the coin for a few reasons.

1. Superman (Christopher Reeve) was one of my first crushes. 😍
2. This coin has been on my wish list and I love finding wish list coins at the LCS.
3. We were primarily in SoCal to see a bunch of bands. One of my FAVORITE songs performed by a band we watched is called Superman. So this seems like a very appropriate souvenir from our trip.

All that was left at this point was to fly home.
