I can take my PeerHub listings and move them over to SteemShop after looking into more (or I can find more stuff to just list). Is this going to be just a web hosted site or will there be a decentralized solution available? I am confused by the description, like are posts just tagged a certain way and a website will be highlighting those posts or something else going on?
Simply it's based on the internal transfer function of the steem blockchain so nothing much more than listings from the account itself.
Technically this makes it blockchain-wide and sales posts would show up through all dapps if searched for. We are intending for #steemshop to become a widely used search term for everyone looking to buy or sell goods and services.
Then as the main account grows in SP and following it will be able to feature sellers posts and reach a wider audience simply by using our tag as your first.

Do you feel like Steembay and Steemshop work together ? (ie I have an auction up right now, so technically could I have used the #SteemShop tag to ensure that auction shows up with all SteemShop listings).
Or will there be a block on #SteemBay hash tag used at the same time as SteemShop as not to have overlap?
I feel that the #steemshop service can work together with anything you are auctioning or selling. It is simply a ways to collectively promote sales listings so yes you could use it to show up in search results and maximize exposure.
However the only caveat about that is @steemshop will only be resteeming posts with the #steemshop tag listed first. This is to ensure they are able to stay on top of promoting sellers using their service and maximizing the growth of the account to in turn reward sellers and get them higher results in their specific trending tags.
I feel a lot of this is bound to unfold as we evolve and even more services emerge, so for now I'd say sure, use any combination of services that you can get to fit together and achieve your sales. 👍
Also in short, I can't say exclusively however I am 99% certain that @Steemshop is not going to be putting any blocks on any other services. Our guidelines were specifically designed the way they are to allow for maximum freedom for sellers to do what serves them best. I'm not even sure how a block like that would be implemented. Cheers.
