Willow-tree pub-lunch with kids:

Last year in December, my wife and I took the kids for a nice pub-lunch at the Willow-Tree, which is a pub / restaurant which are normally frequented by students, but this time of the year you got all types of people there, including us.

You must know you are becoming a bit long in the tooth, when you take your kids on an outing, for a pub-lunch.

The place is known for there good prices as they normally cater for students. They had a hamburger special going so most of us went for the hamburgers. You get two hamburgers and you can choose between chicken or beef (sounds a bit like the South African Airways menu) or a combination of the two. I decided on the combo!!

They have tables inside and outside, and it being a great summers afternoon, we sat outside, under the trees!!

In case you were wondering, the place actually has a willow tree on the premises as can be seen below.

We all had a great time having lunch together as a family, which does not happen too often anymore, with the kids being grownup and going their own way!! (I think it helps to get everybody together, when dad pays for lunch and drinks!!)
