Last weekend, we went to the Christmas Evening Market as hosted by the German School. We arrived at around 5:00 in the afternoon and the market was already busy.
They had a large eating / drinking area, which was already full with people enjoying food, cold-drinks and beer when we arrived.
I went straight to the Beer taps, the photo above shows people waiting in the beer line. They had 3 beer stations with around 3 people serving the people, but still the line was long, but at least it was moving, with good German efficiency!!
I went for a dark larger, which can be seen below. Throughout the evening, I tested quite a variety of beers!! I loved all of them!!
As the seats at the tables were full we found this little wall, which we used to sit on while having a snack and drinking our beers!!
They had a number of stalls, selling a huge variety of stuff on the outside.
They also had a large section on the inside in the school hall, where business was brisk.
My wife got stuck at this little jewelry store, and only left after I bought her a nice set of earrings!!
The food sales also started to pick up as the evening progressed.
My wife and I bought some schnitzel with salad as our main meal.
Later on we found some chairs, where you can see my wife and her friend enjoying some gluhwein, and that in the middle of summer!! We were seated in front of a stage where a brass band and choir played some Christmas carols later the evening.
It looked quite festive with all the lights lit when it started to become dark, and the crowds kept on coming!!

We really had a very enjoyable evening out, just relaxing with some friends!!

Christmas markets are great, and you get some real quality products from local business too - this looks particularly festive and some tasty food and drink too @tipu curate !COFFEEA

Oh cool! Definitely a bit different than the one I went to, but I'm sure some of the sentiment is still the same. I do love a good German beer. Might have to go back to the one here to grab one of those when I'm not on the clock for work. ;) Happy weekend!
Yes, I do love their beers, you definitely must go back to test the beer. Here is a nice !BEER for you in the meantime.

That looked so much fun!!! Your plate of schnitzel reminded me of a fair I attended in Germany inside the US military base. They were frying them in a drum of oil... yummy delicious, and the biggest schnitzels ever!
