When Facebook was having privacy issues and down-time, Stephen and others took advantage of this by campaigning and advocating “#deletefacebook” and “#joinsteemit”.
Going Beyond Social Media Promotions
Stephen has spent much of his own money printing up business size cards, T-shirts, flyers, and display boards as he evangelizes for SteemIt in the U.K.
Promoting at Colleges and Universities
He visits colleges and universities promoting SteemIt and the STEEM blockchain.
Stephen and fellow promoters spent a day in Manchester City and around the Manchester University handing out flyers.
Bigger Than Life Promotions
Everyone would like to see their name in lights. Well, Stephen put the SteemIt and STEEM blockchain names in lights!
Stephen worked closely with an advertising agency specializing in a suite of mobile advertising buses. Slides were generated to display on the digital boards promoting SteemIt and the STEEM Blockchain.
These buses were rolling around the city promoting SteemIt and the STEEM blockchain nine months ago.
And let’s not forget STEEM Monsters! Yes, even STEEM Monsters had a digital billboard with the STEEM Monsters name in lights.
Promoting at Conferences
Stephen attends conferences in his efforts to promote SteemIt and the STEEM blockchain.
And soon at Malta A.I. and Blockchain Summit.
Making an Impact
Stephen is always looking for new ways to promote SteemIt and the STEEM blockchain.
STEEM Talent Scout
Stephen printed up new business cards that introduced him as a STEEM talent scout. As a STEEM talent scout Stephen actively looks for singers, musicians, artists, songwriters, models, photographers, dancers, writers, chefs, celebrities, and more that he can invite to join SteemIt.
The 23 open invitations that Stephen sent out to Twitter personalities like Katie Dillon, Davide Raimondi, Eric Burdon, and Zia Zuberi had the potential to bring their 912,407 followers onto SteemIt too.
Stats
Every time Stephen promotes SteemIt and the STEEM blockchain on social media he reaches:
- 580 subscribers on YouTube; and
- 8,132 followers on Twitter.
Shortly after the introduction of the #steemtalent tag on Twitter, #steemtalent had over 1 million impressions on Twitter.
And this does not include the hundreds, if not ten of thousands, of people who saw the advertising on the buses and got business cards and flyers from Stephen.
Stephen has made over 15,324 posts on SteemIt and has over 11,500 SteemIt followers. And I think everyone following Stephen would agree with Stephen’s nomination for exemplifying the best of the STEEM blockchain.

Thanks again for your overwhelming support of my blog and the work I have done in promoting #Steem.
With a heavy heart, I have recently decided to pull-out of Malta.
Over the past +2 years I have spent well over +£6,000 of my own money promoting #Steem and though I have absolutely no regrets, sadly I cannot do it anymore.
There are many others in the #Steem Community that are better positioned and better financially supported than me to promote #Steem and I wish them all the tremendous success.
Making the decision to pull out of Malta broke my heart, but I thought it would be better to pass the baton to those in the #Steem Community that the Community are fully behind.
Over the last + 3 years while I have been promoting Blockchain, I have fought a hard battle in plugging my savings account, only to see it slowly drain and leave a massive hole in my personal finances.
I will continue to promote #Steem as best as I can with the limited funds I have left.
Should things change over the next few years and the appetite for supporting my work is there, I would be more than happy to take #Steem to future events and shows.
Thanks again Mike for everything you have done over the last + 3 years.

You have shown many Steemians how they too in their own way can promote SteemIt and the STEEM blockchain. Maybe it is time to pass the torch to other Steemians. You have certainly been a leader in promoting SteemIt and the STEEM blockchain.
