YouTube Censorship is killing the YouTube Platform and Creating a Great Opportunity for "SteemQ"

Ask any content producer on YouTube, including me, and they will tell you that YouTube has started a war against freedom of speech. Their new Heroes program covered by @TyrannyUnmasked literally allows people to mass flag videos without ever having watched them or identifying any specific terms of service violations or copyright infringements. Not only does it allow anyone to sign up to be a "Hero", it rewards these people monetarily for flagging more videos. So they are creating an army of "false flaggers" called "Heroes" that will go around censoring any content they might disagree with based on nothing more than the title of the film in most cases. This for obvious reasons will go very badly and get out of control quickly, and any controversial content on YouTube will vanish. That is why I download and store the best YouTube documentaries I come across on an external HD, so that when these videos are removed from YouTube, I will have backup copies of them. However, this hero program is just one aspect of YouTube censorship taking place. Many prominent YouTuber's with thousands to in some cases over 100,000 subscribers are making videos about quitting YouTube and not making any videos because they are so frustrated with the censorship already never mind this coming army of "Heroes". Example "TruthMediaRevolution" just made this video: "Illusions and Deceptions: a few words" discussing how he might not make any more videos despite his 106k subscribers, partly because of YouTube censorship. Someone like this would be the perfect candidate to switch over to "SteemQ" and bring over thousands and thousands of subscribers with him.

YouTube Shooting itself in the Foot by Demonetizing Videos and Crazy Copyright Rules

Don't bite the hand that feeds you, is clearly a lesson that YouTube's ownership hasn't quite grasped yet. YouTube by demonetizing any videos that they deem "controversial" or "Non advertiser friendly" are declaring war against basically every YouTuber that makes videos covering controversial topics, which is normally what people watch YouTube to see. I mean other than the sheeple who watch "Pewdiepie" crap that is total garbage. I should say, the average "truther" spends his time watching controversial conspiratorial videos, that YouTube will often deem "not monetizable" for no specific reason whatsoever. By not allowing the content producers to get monetary rewards for their time and effort in creating these controversial documentaries, YouTube is killing the desire to make these videos, also the quality of the content drops because people can't make the money to pay for the software and other things they need to make quality videos. Of course, those "controversial" videos still bring millions of views to the YouTube platform off which YouTube profits. So YouTube thinks it is fine for them to profit off the hard work of researchers, but not the people creating the content. So is it surprising that half of my friends who have big YouTube channels covering conspiracy topics constantly talk about the need for a new platform so we can all leave YouTube? No, it isn't, YouTube is taking our ability to make money off our work away, with no legitimate reason for it, and we are sick of it. SteemQ where are you?

The other YouTube demonetization scheme and censorship scheme is with insane copyright rules. Right now the burden of proof is on the accused to prove they are not guilty, it is a complete switch of how law is supposed to work. Normally the burden of proof is on the accuser, not the accused. However, on YouTube if some 3rd party claims copyright to even 5 seconds of audio in your 1 hour long documentary, they can choose to block your video in specific countries or worldwide, they can claim all the monetary rewards for your video, or they can let you use it. As the content producer you have to give your name and sign a legal online document to appeal the copyright claim. Then the accuser gets 30 days, yes 30 days to review the appeal. Which in terms of view counts is basically every view your video will get. Almost all of my videos on YouTube when I look at the view counts get the majority of their views in the first thirty or so days the video is on YouTube. So by making the appeal process take this long, the accuser gets to block your video for those critical 30 days or get all the monetary rewards for the views your video is likely to get. It is a completely insane policy. I have multiple videos that are monetized by a third party because I used their music for background for about 20 seconds or something, or there was a clip from a movie I added for purposes of criticism under fair use, but they still get to claim all the monetary value. Due to this, I have had to change my video creating style and make videos where I use still shots instead of clips from scenes, and so have many other YouTubers, like "What Is Real". It is a commonly found problem and it is also selective, some YouTubers are allowed to use huge segments of films because their review is positive of the movie, whilst someone making a negative review will get hit with copyright for using far less. YouTube is actively pissing a lot of people off with this, as any search on YouTube itself will demonstrate as over 266K videos are on YouTube regarding YouTube censorship last I checked.

Seriously, timing is everything. I would like to thank @Furion for creating the "SteemQ" platform because we desperately need an alternative to YouTube. I know it is still in development, but seriously a lot of big time "conspiracy" YouTuber's are very interested. As YouTube has been ramping up the censorship, and more and more of us are sick of YouTube crapping on the content producers, the very people that YouTube needs to bring in it's viewers. It is a perfect time to launch an alternative, as everyone really, really wants one right now. I mean people dislike FaceBook, and Twitter, but they are not being screwed by those two; the way YouTube is screwing over people like me. I for one would absolutely upload my videos to the new platform, and I would be more open and free to make better videos on the new platform as "fair use" hopefully will not be trampled on. It is a very exciting time to be alive, the harder the systems of control clamp down on us, the more ingenuity creates alternatives for us to use.
