Is a steemit logo PNG in hex format. I am not sure if there's a limitation for post sizes, if there was, it can always segment into multiple parts.

Maybe Steemit devs can build in some kind of hard drive mining blockchain like Burst or a compensated sharing model like Golem into the system? Or maybe partner with an existing platform like this? Or how about extending an addl steem power bonus to steemit users who allocate their own hd space/devices as shared storage/cpu etc resources?
Good idea I was thinking along the same lines, but I'm not sure they will i anything most people are too busy to work rather than think about new ideas, I would like to have more collaborations between the coins, and share of resource, since working up a whole new system to do something that is already out there is a bit redundant, still if dan was here and the team was more lively with expansion, why not, but as it currently is they should be focused on updating the site and adding/fixing functionality
@furion answered but yeah, even 720p recordings can go up to gigabytes so 30GB videos :D yeesh :| that and when people start uploading full movies might be a problem for the chain

well it could work but that would mean we all should separate some 50G's out of our hard drives and torrent, the other thing is that most torrents seed the whole file it's only pieced up when transferred that is the strength of the emerging crypto data coins, like VIVA and others their systems of management and distribution are more fleshed out
We are currently stroring only text in the blockchain. Just as from cave paintings, to paper, to internet PNGs... Eventually blockchains should evolve, wouldn't it be nice to be the first ones?
