Cultivating Our Community Spirit: Our First Christmas Gathering

It is been so much fun to be able to spend some quality times and connect with a bunch of steemians here in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah last weekend over SteemXP Christmas Family Gathering. What is awesome about this gathering is that most of you took your own family day and instead spend it with us. I’d really appreciate you guys find ways to connect with the rest in real and genuine ways. Despite our busy lifestyle, I am so happy that we get to meet up and gather at Villaku Boutique Homestay, Kokol Hill through our similar interests on this amazing social media platform. A year starting my journey on Steemit, I am still filled with amazement that we still continue to support and care for each other.

Have fun together and build strong relationships.

Despite all the hassle during the process of securing and negotiating the price for the accommodation, I am glad that everything turned out well for our family gathering. Special thanks to @melindajamulis for helping me out with the budget calculation, @verasj and @arwine for helping @melindajamulis organizing fun entertainments (games night) for the kids and adult that night and preparing a token of gratitude for us even though they don’t have to.

Although @robmojo did not book the accommodation like the rest of us, he, however, took the initiative and brought his lovely wife to join our dinner, games and Christmas exchange gift sessions. And for that, I am thankful for his support to the community. I’ve met @robmojo for the first time at one of our Steem Blockchain Bootcamp in Kota Kinabalu a few months ago and the second time at our recent masterclass.

Motivation, engagement and productivity.

One thing I learned from this gathering is that everyone is so comfortable talking with each other, sharing informative tips and value of Steemit, exchange wonderful ideas and most importantly, it strengthened our bonds as a Steemit family. And for that, I am sure each and every one of them created a memory to be cherished forever. Hopefully, with our strong community spirit, we are able to help, motivate, motivate, empower other people with positive productivity and encourage to share the same passions regardless of our different background.
