It's good to bring up and post about topics like this. It helps others when this happens to them. It is so hard to prepare anyone for this. You don't know how you will react until that moment comes. I know for me one of the things I can not stand is for people to say 'I'm sorry for your loss' Sorry is misused as much as the word love is. As you mentioned it brought you comfort for someone to tell you what a wonderful person she was. That is what I like. Share memories. Reassurances, not empty words from not knowing what to say.
