My ArtVenture: Acrylic painting “Sailing away”

in #steempress5 years ago

Hello dear Steemians,

I have finished today my last acrylic painting that I started yesterday but was struggling to do the sky, I thought to do an impasto style and palette knife application of paint, but somehow my first layers were too many too vibrant together, was distracting the viewer from the main topic. So I have redone the work and there is another quite think layer of colour. I thought that this is fit better, it is more calm.

My topic came from the article I read recently about Panerai British Classic Week. I do not sail myself, due to my bad motion sickness, but I was always very impressed with that. People who dream and live from sail to sail, travelling around and feeling so bored when they are away from waves and sea.

I'm so scared of deep water that I would never ever be able to sail. I also can't say that I admire people doing it as I think they are crazy risking their lives :D But it could all be my fear talking now.. I however enjoy paintings with sailing boats..

I really like your boat and the color of the sea. I also like to see different styles from you. You can paint very exact (like your mythology artwork) or a bit rougher (like this one). It's good to see such versatility.

Thank you for sharing and have a good day!

Thank you Veronica, nice to hear your opinion. I know that you are a watercolor Artist, my next work I am planning to do in watercolor, would be interesting to know what you think :)

너의 의견을 듣고 좋은 베로니카 고마워. 나는 당신이 수채화 작가라는 것을 알고 있습니다. 수채화로 할 다음 작품은 당신이 생각하는 것을 아는 것이 재미있을 것입니다. :) (Google-translator)

I loooooooove, I love the dark green sea here, @stef1 :D The way it reflects the sail boat is so lovely and the way you did the moon like that is so wonderful and dreamy <3 Really, really lovely work~

Thank you Spider, you can't imagine how much I had to change the colors before, but working with acrylic they are so forgiving, you can use layer on layer and you do not wait days like you do when you use Oil painting. I really appreciate your opinion and thank you for visiting my work!

What a cool looking boat, @stef1! But for moments there, I though I was looking at a fried egg on the sky. Sorry. 😕
