Visiting children in a garbage dump | We will not raise and act or will we lose this generation?

in #steempress6 years ago (edited)

Hello friends here writing again for this great community.

I alone can not change the world, but I can throw a stone through the water to create many ripples. Mother Teresa of Calcutta

This time, we went to the rubbish dump in Villa del Rosario, Maracaibo a locality where indigenous children and young children live, after 12 hours viake we arrived to know the conditions and the work that takes place there in this place.

This is my wife Bianka feeding one of the children in the dumpster.

When arriving at this place our impression, and astonishment were very great, I saw there children who lived in the middle of mountains of garbage, entire families that lived in the middle of pigs, ruminant animals. These families showed little interest in receiving help, not because we were strangers to them, but because of grief, because of their condition of poverty, since most of them are people who were not born in poverty but the current situation has led to such point, that the garbage has become their home, they wait day after day for the trucks that bring the precious garbage. There they search among the waste, sustenance to survive the harsh reality that has touched them.

The church, the government, the common people, will rise up and act? or will we simply lose them?

Many times being great leaders does not mean walking in big cars, with luxuries and money, living in hotels and trips, we need to put the boots of service and go where the need, there begins our leadership, serving, helping where is the need . There is that need where the hearts must move, in that

direction where we need to be different day, not alien, no, but different in contrast to the world that does not care about the pain of the neighbor. Let's do it as Jesus did, as did Mother Teresa of Calcutta, as did Mahatma Gandhi, as great servants of humanity did.

This trip was wonderful an experience full of emotions and blessings, I was happy to see people so dedicated, in the morning I was able to speak and share a message full of faith and hope for an approximate of 200 children, young people and some parents who were in the intalaciones of a dining room that is working with the purpose of serving these children in their daily food, wonderful work of this foundation friend, we want and we wish that each day more and more wills will join to serve and solve each problem, I pray that a simple favor becomes a chain of favors that brings encouragement and encouragement to thousands who fail, because they lose their children, because they lose their homes, because they lose their parents, whatever the situation it is time to be instruments of help and blessing.

Jesus said: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. King James Bible

These were the words of Jesus, key words, beautiful principles that have traveled the timpa, history, until our days, some believe others simply deny them, I trust in God. In God I trust that this generation will rise and act, that together as brothers, we will add wills, free from envy, jealousy, disordered passions, in the search and salvation of entire families, in search of lasting justice, in search of the kingdom of love , where together as equals we will speak the same language, the language of peace, where there will not be a needy in our midst, but we will have all things in common. These days in this place have been amazing, the incredible experience and a satisfaction that has no price, happy faces, faces full of joy.

I invite you to see my others post:
Sowing love and hope only with a pencil and paper | Rural schools, schools of extreme poverty.
Let them come, they are not only the future they are the present !! The church will act?
