Nice post with simple steps involved to update your SmartNode. I updated mine 3 days ago and have already received a payout, so the timescale is pretty short to start receiving payments again :)
Ya the update is quite a mess as we are not really sure how the new mechanism is going to work. Just did my part and pray everything is working without issues.
