I took this pic a while ago, this is our President. Before I begin to explain what DApps are, Mr. Ricky explained first the importance of camaraderie.

Promoting & Introducing DApps

The purpose of this event is to integrate the University - Engineering Department's student council or we call ourselves "Engineering Council" Mr. Ricky the President of the council grabs the opportunity of "What if we will make a hobby to create posts that is related to Engineering, make some announcements, and hosts some contests.". The meetups were not planned as well, thanks to @jassennessaj one of our Core Leaders in @steemph.cebu, Jassen and I also wanted to support the idea of Mr. Ricky.

The Engineering Council, I am the man in the middle.

Is an Organization with 10 Members that will help organize and create events, budgetting and a lot more. Engineering Council is also a Mother Organization from the following Engineering programs like, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering and Industrial Engineering. Also for each Program has a corresponding President and its representatives. Visit our Facebook page here

The Engineering Council will also be creating a communal account for announcements and etc. @ecuclm - no approval yet. We wanted not just to post in our Facebook page, but also here in the steem blockchain.

The Event

So after our 3 hours of long meeting, our special guest has arrived which is @jassennessaj. Jassen is one of Steemph.Cebu core leaders, Jassen explained and shared the opportunities the steem blockchain can offer. In my own experience, the steem blockchain really helped me a lot on focusing more on topics and contents, it helped me study more about that subject thanks to @sndbox-alpha science and education curation theme. I don't really cash out instantly because I still have a long journey to take, and this is now over yet. I or we want steem to be a long term investment, not just in money but in our learnings.

After @jassennessaj explained and shared the topics related to the steem blockchain, I also took the stage and share the experience of using Decentralized Applications. DApps like

• SteemHunt
• Utopian
• SteemPress
• Tasteem
• Busy
• SteemGigs
• Dtube
• Dlive

There are already many DApps steem has to offer, I immediately told them that it is a problem when you are posting at the steemIT platform because we usually get rare upvotes. But with DApps, your posts are getting a value but it needs to meet their posting guidelines like SteemHunt, Utopian or SteemGigs.
