COOK A HEALTHY RECIPE

Happy Wedsnesday! Hope you all are doing well.

I would like the join this health challenge: Cook a healthy recipe for the contest called Steemit Weekly Health Challenge Week no.9 which’s great initiative of @healthsquared and sponsored by pretty @sweetsssj.

Today I’m so excited to share with you a Chinese traditional recipe which is very healthy, and also healing our body.

The healthy recipe is HERBAL CHICKEN ESSENCE SCALLOP PORRIDGE


 
INGREDIENTS for 1

  • 1 bottle Herbal Chicken Essence with Cordyceps and American Ginseng
  • 30 gram scallops
  • 8 red dates
  • Wolfberries (a little)
  • Rice (half cup)
  • Parsley (a little)
  • Salt (a little)
PROCESS
  • Wash rice, scallop, red dates and wolfberries.
  • Using electric slow cooker. Put in half cup of rice and ¾ cup water, then adjust button to high heat.
  • After 15 mins, put in 30 gram scallop and 8 number red dates to continue boiling.
  • After 10 mins, add in 1 bottle herbal chicken essence and a little of wolfberries, then adjust button to auto heat.
  • After 10 mins, add in a little of salt and continue boiling for 5 mins.
  • Arrange your bowl and prepare to serve.
  • Why this is a healthy recipe?

    Essence of chicken with Cordyceps and American Ginseng is traditionally used for general health and strengthening of body from weakness and sickness, and stimulates energy.

    Scallops are nutritious lean protein, and delicious to enhance the taste of rice porridge. It’s also rich in vitamins B12, magnesium and phosphorus.

    Red dates is famous Chinese traditional healthy food. It’s replenishing red blood cells and good for women.

    Wolfberries is very popular to improve our eyesignt, lower cholesterols and strengthen our immune system.

    It’s so simple and easy by using electric cooker for making rice porridge. I recommend you to try to cook this recipe.

    Besides that, this medicinal recipe is excellent for old folks, patients, kids, and those busy working and studying. It’s light and warms up the digestion system.

Healthy and easy, nice recipe :) but taking this, I would expect to just hold on for like few hours before my tummy start to make noise again 😂

oh! This is rather new. It never really came to my mind to use Essence of Chicken added into the porridge. Maybe I can share this with my parents should they decide to do something different for their porridge (congee) next round.
