Salted Fish for Vegetarians (Bilingual)

Bagi orang Sunda, ikan asin adalah makanan favorit. Khususnya dalam hidangan makan siang. Biasanya ikan asin menjadi pelengkap untuk sayur asam atau sayur kacang merah. Orang Sunda yang bervegetaris juga bisa menikmati ikan asin yang terbuat dari tahu, tempe dan nori (rumput laut). Kandungan gizinya tak kalah hebat dari ikan asin beneran. Mau? Yuk kita coba membuatnya.

For Sundanese, salted fish is a favorite food. Especially for lunch. Usually salted fish become a complement to sour vegetables or red bean vegetables. Sundanese who are vegetarian can also enjoy salted fish made from tofu, tempe and nori (seaweed). Its nutritional content is no less great than real salted fish. Do you want? Let's try to make it.

Kita siapkan dulu bahan-bahannya:

Dua lembar nori ( rumput laut) yang berbentuk segiempat.

Tiga buah tahu putih ukuran 4 x 4 cm dan tempe satu potong ukuran 10 x 10 cm.

Atau Anda boleh pilih tempe ini lima buah yang berbentuk segitiga ukuran 4 x 4 x 4 x cm.

Siapkan juga satu sendok makan tepung terigu, satu sendok makan tepung maizena, satu sendok makan buter/margarine, satu sendok teh ketumbar bubuk, dua sendok teh garam, satu sendok teh perasa, dan dua lembar daun pisang

Kukus tahu dan tempe hingga mengembang dan matang, lalu diblender beserta tepung, butter, ketumbar, garam, dan penyedap rasa.

Lalu bagi menjadi dua bagian. Siapkan selembar plastik bening untuk alas ukuran 25 x 30 cm, hamparkan di atas meja, simpan selembar nori (rumput laut) di atas plastik, kemudian isi dengan adonan tahu dan tempe, ratakan hingga 1/2 hamparan nori.

Selanjutnya siapkan wajan di atas kompor untuk mengukus, simpan selembar daun di atas wajan dan letakkan ikan asin yang sudah dibuat untuk dikukus. Kukus sampai mengembang kira kira 10 menit. Lihat gambar di atas.
Setelah matang angkat dan kukus lagi ikan asin yang kedua.

Inilah ikan asin yang sudah dikukus.

Setelah dingin tutupkan alas plastik tadi, lalu masukkan ikan asin ke dalam freezer. Simpan ikan asin di dalam freezer kira kira 4 - 5 jam. Setelah keras, keluarkan ikan asin dari freezer dan diamkan beberapa saat sampai bisa dipotong.

Setelah ikan asin agak lembek segera potong-potong seperti ini. Dan segera goreng dengan minyak panas.

After the salted fish is slightly soft, cut it off like this. And immediately fry with hot oil.

Diamkan dalam penggorengan sampai agak kering lalu bolak-balik biar matang merata.

Let stand in the frying pan until it dries a little and then goes back and forth evenly.

Dan inilah hasilnya, rasanya enak seperti ikan asin jambal roti asli. Selamat mencoba dan menikmati.
