This resort is not the typical beach resort that you can imagine when thinking of one. It is literally situated in a cliff overlooking the turquoise water below. A beach pool welcomes you when coming down using the pave stairways that is carefully crafted embracing the beautiful landscape of the stone wall.
The Kawayan Cliff Resort is a perfect place to unwind after days of kicking the ball forward for the bills to pay and continuance of life. The resort has six private cottages that you can rent and as well cottages where you can share it with others overlooking the seawater with infinite view of the horizon which separates the sea from the sky.
Along with the cottages is the Bamboo bar where one can relax while having your favourite beverage at hand. The ambiance of the place is so beautiful with its greenery surroundings which refresh your eyes. Not to mention their hotel like comfort rooms, one for male and for female. When in it, you can feel that you are not in a beach resort.
In the afternoon, guests prefer to sit fronting the east side to have a glimpse of the sunset as it slowly embraces behind the mountain across Iligan Bay. When the weather is fine you can see the silhouette of the mysterious island of Siquijor.
The Kawayan Cliff Resort is just less than 30 minutes away from Laguindingan Airport, the gateway in Northern Mindanao, Philippines. It is located in Barangay Pagahan in the Municipality of Initao in the Province of Misamis Oriental.
