But since we just launched it I wanted to get a post out real quick that would give you a quick run down of what was just launched.

EXPLORE PAGE

This page is laying the groundwork for things to come.
For now you should know it should be still considered in Beta and we will be adding lots more functionality to it and hope to make it a compelling place to come and search and find all sorts of great content.
FYI: Presently there will be redundant ways to get to pages/information giving you time to get used to explore page.

AUTHOR VOTE SORT

New option of a way to order comments based on what the author thinks is best sorting.
Also a settings choice to choose your favorite way to sort comments by default.

NEW API NODE OPTIONS

No more dependency on api.steemit.com ... there are 2 more options already.

MUTE NOW WORKS FOR COMMENTS

Your muting (aka "ignore") now will work for the comments section to help with spam issues.

HIDE TAGS

You can decide which content you aren't interested in by setting which tags you would like to filter out.

METADATA ASSIST

This tool is also in beta... it will be a tool primarily for photographers

THE LIST FROM @ASGARTH
If you've been on our discord you know that @asgarth likes to drop the updates in a big list

• Introduction of a brand new Explore page (still in BETA) that we plan to improve with every new release
• A new About page with 5 different sections: About, Terms, FAQ, Privacy (coming soon), Support Us
• In the FAQ page you can 'like' or 'unlike' the question to help us understand which one are the most useful to our users
• Added an option to sort comments according to the post author votes ( @canadian.coconut let me know if this is what you asked)
• It is possible to hide some specific tag in your feed. There is an option to quickly exclude them directly in the feed and you can further tune everything in your settings ( @mattclarke I would like to have your feedback on this one)
• If you upload an image with embedded EXIF metadata in the editor you can easily use those details in your post ( @dmytrokorol requested this long long ago)
• A new option to select the API node used to fetch data (for broadcast we still rely on what steemconnect and keychain are using). If you want to have more RPC nodes added let us know
• When you open a post with a specific comment in the URL this comment is now highlighted (and hopefully the page will scroll directly to that comment)
• We improved the spam filter used to hide some comments. The result on posts with lot of spam should now be way better ( @LyndsayBowes I used some of your post to test, let me know if you have feedback)
• Comments by ignored users are now hidden by default
• The way comments are loaded has been reworked to make it load faster
• A better vote ordering in tooltip and popup
• Changed markdown help guide in the editor and added support for the html underline tag
• We now have a new monitor for the witness server integrated into SteemPeak
• Fix an issue that prevent some transaction to be broadcasted successfully after the introduction of Keychain
• Fix market data fetch errors (both in the Wallet and in the Tools pages)
• Mobile fixes and improvements (the address bar has now the same menu color on Android)
• Backend improvements to reduce server load while performing some operations

Now's probably a nice time to remind you that we run a witness server to help process the blocks for the Steem Blockchain. You can vote so we are in a position to process more of them.

• Using Keychain: You just have to click and approve the transaction
• Using SteemConnect: You'll need access to copy paste the Active Key at least.

SteemPeak is presently Witness #39 only after about 4 months with our server.
