Why am I always the last to work the easy things out??
Ive only just noticed that BETA packs are available on #steemengine and are actually cheaper than buying them through @steemmonsters
It's not like my FOMO wasn't running in high gear.... Now its in overdrive!!!
So I flipped a few tokens for some steem pegged and bought 3 packs
Let's see if the gods have been kind to me this time....
Safe to say I lost out again! I think I just about broke even in one pack with that summoner and epic combo.
But, as I always keep saying, that's another 3 packs and 1t cards no one else can have with out paying me. So I'll keep trading on steemengine and now buy my cards through there.
Alphas were available there too until recently. Its important to note that you're buying the packs second hand, so they don't count toward things like Maverick status (bought 500 packs).
What is a Maverick status? Are there any benefits in having bought >500 packs?

The devs try and find ways to reward Mavericks. There are no guarantees, but we've previously been given early access to beta test new updates; we have our own channel in discord (others can view it but can't post), we were offered 100,000 SPT each as an airdrop; its sort of a general VIP status.

Does that mean that the decks have been searched??? Wasn't there a thing where you could check the decks before opening them, which is why they changed the set up on opening?
That was an issue, which is why they changed it up to the current arrangement.
Now tokens are just tokens. They're not turned into specific cards until that opening animation with the portal, and the lightning.
