You Have Turned us Into Monsters!!!
You Have Turned us Into Monsters!!!
Yesterday two very non-tech-ey, non-game-ey, non-geeky gals on steemit, @coruscate and @littlescribe, admitted their addiction to Steem Monsters. They are so excited, in fact, they have managed to pull together an actual weekly live broadcast CENTERED on this exploding online tradable card game.
Although this new show touches on some of the more technical aspects of the game itself, the show focuses primarily on the lore and fan fiction behind the game.
The name of the show? Fan Fiction.
Yesterday was the debut. And who better to appear as an opening guest than Steem Monsters co-founder, @aggroed himself!
He read aloud the Twisted Jester story - a main character in the "black" element of the lore. The story was submitted by @road2nowhere for a lore-writing contest put on by Steem Monsters in order to attract more talent and content to the game. His was the winning story for this particular character.
And @aggroed pulled off an amazing reading, giving goose bumps to the listeners and hosts alike. Afterward, he hung around for some much needed Monster chat.
He explained how he and @yabapmatt have already done other projects together and compliment each other really well. When they came up with the idea for this game, they knew they needed to do it together, and the only place for it was Steemit - the database and structure for the game were already in place. A solid userbase was already in place. An established cryptocurrency brought a token-like aspect to the cards. And the fact that both individuals are already witnesses on this blockchain provided a huge impetus to do something that would cotribute to the economy and community of steem.
It was kind of a no-brainer to go this route, and with the two minds together, and everything already in place, it only took them a couple of months from inception to alpha launch. Beta launch should be in September, when the actual games should begin.
@aggroed explains that at some point, alpha cards will no longer be in print. Once in Beta, alpha will eventually be discontinued.
By default the alpha version will eventually become truly collectible cards, as there will be no way to obtain them unless they are traded.
The cards should appreciate in value, with the value of STEEM, and with the intrinsic value they have in the trading and gaming aspect.
During the show, @coruscate and @littlescribe dished out free boosterpacks to listeners. The winners were:
@davemccoy
@carrieallen
@reseller
@trisquelwhare
@enginewitty
@clove71
@coruscate and @littlescribe are a great pair. They’ve known each other for awhile on this platform and have corresponded often and compared notes. They have each made their mark doing tutorial videos, crypto announcements, live broadcasts, video collabs, and interviews with big names on steemit. They have both tackled numerous issues on this platform with ease and enthusiasm.They both work every day to contribute quality content and make meaningful connections with the people they meet.
@coruscate, a consistent trender on D.tube, brings her charm, wit, experience, intelligence, and...followers to the table. And @littlescribe, a Dlive Diva, hosts her own weekly live broadcast (called “Dear Littlescribe), where she interviews Witnesses and giants on the blockchain. She brings a certain "know-how" when it comes to keeping shows lively, involving the audience, and adding relevance. And when she's in a pickle, she consults with @carrieallen, another cohort in the live sphere.
The three are all excited to be female forerunners on the blockchain and in the live broadcasting sphere.
“You have turned us into Monsters! Are you happy?” @littlescribe teased @aggroed during the show.
“Yes. I am.” He replied. In all seriousness.

Thank you x500 for including the recording link, I'm upset I missed it!
One of the highlights I've been sitting tight for since quite a while was optical zoom. Obviously there's, yet as a free programming fellow that is not for me.
So I was advertised to discover would discharge another. Some may recall their initial one, which had a major burdensome camera module in the focal point of the back.
Fortunately that is a bit much any more, double focal point.
Thanks for a great show @coruscate and @littlescribe, and thanks for the booster pack prize I received during your first show...
