Hot to create the perfect value for money Steem Monsters deck

in #steemmonsters6 years ago

While the game is not yet released, we get more and more Infos how the game is going to evolve - and I can't tell you how much I am looking forward to playing. For now all we can is collect, trade and create the perfect deck.

In a long video @aggroed has explained many details of the coming combat system. Many of these have not yet been written down. the full video you can find here. If you can find the time - watch it, it is definitely worth it.

One message that was new for me was the fact that one card can only be played once per day. This makes sense but means that it is not enough to have just one perfect deck if you want to play more than once per day - which most people will probably want to do.

As financial resources are scarce, this means that most of us will try to create good value for money decks. But how to do this?

In his video, @aggroed shows an excel-spreadsheet, which lays out the skill point by card category. A level 2 common is about the same strength as a level 1 rare card, a level 3 common is roughly equal to a level 1 epic and a level 4 common equals roughly the strength of a level 1 legendary. But how about the higher levels?

The highest skil number of 130 can only be reached with a level 4 legendary. So for the best deck possible you need to own all the legendaries at max. But that's going to be freaking expensive.

The somewhat lower skill point can however be reached with very different strategies.

If we combine these numbers with the most recent prices on the secondary market, we get the following picture:

Conclusion:
If you are not striving for the perfect deck I think the best value for money at the moment can be found in the epics. However, keep in mind that these numbers are not set in stone but might be changed later on

What do you think?

All the best and good luck playing,

its a must read really!
awesum work. Thanks for going through the whole video for us :)

Nice break down of cost of the cards.

Something else I was thinking. Tournaments starts sometime in September. If price of STEEM double or triple by then, and since cards cost is in the USD, it would make sense to sell at least some cards now, and use that same STEEM/SBD to later buy double/triple amount of cards.

As of leveling, I will level my deck in the game.
As of only use one time same card per day - great, will keep me away from playing too much ;-)

Quite the interesting post Meatbag! Very helpful.

That shows the value for coin.
Now check out the warez for coin, just in case you are more of a ladies man.

Can't wait to see where this card game ends up! Akox is ready for profit fun!
