Season 4 Is A Game Changer
It looks like we are getting a new series of cards that can only be attained via playing. This is a great alternative to giving out boosters and devaluing the current market for them. I suspect these new cards will mean a peak in interest from players and some small FOMO hitting next seasons league. It will be interesting to see what the initial price of these cards are going to be as the only way to purchase them will be from other players.
Awesome news. Those cards would look nice in my collection.
I also read that they are increasing daily rewards for higher league tiers to prevent people, like yourself, from reward farming. LOL.

Yeah, from my understanding the daily rewards are these cards. The higher up the league you are the more of those free cards you get.
I only reward farmed because I was challenged to do so and to shine a light on how easy it was as there were a bunch doubting my claims. I welcome the new changes :)

I does, however, form a disincentive to those who can't afford the "pay to win" strategy and were using the daily quests to level up their decks
Giving out so many Beta boosters was hurting the Beta boosters and cards value. One could attain Beta boosters for $1 on the secondary market. This new system introduces a whole new set of cards and should have a positive affect on previously introduced cards. People can still build teams for free by earning free cards in the daily and selling / trading for what they want.
The card value is irrelevant to those who just want to play the game though. New players aren't necessarily going to have the time or drive to learn the nuances of the marketplace, particularly if they can't buy and sell with anything other than crypto.
I like the idea of having exclusive cards that are only available as playing rewards, but taking away a way for players to level up without having to spend a bunch of money seems more like it is more aimed at appeasing a few noisy investors than enhancing play for new players entering the game.
I don't believe it will do anything at all to address the issue of pack farming, only change what is being farmed.
I guess we have to wait and see how it all plays out in the long term though.
I will have to disagree, it isn't hard to learn the market as its fairly straight forward.... Ebay is more complicated. Chances are if a person took the time to learn which card should be positioned where in battle then that person would have no problem learning how to use the market place.
You're likely right about farming / it won't stop it but it will do something much better. Which is allow players to continue to farm and not hurt the value of Beta cards/boosters as the cards that are being farmed are exclusive to those active in the leagues. Adding new cards that can only be found via playing in the league was a great Idea.
This is a fun game but its also a gambling game and currency will be on the line so its important to protect values. There should be ways to get in for free and they should take time and effort but as you said we will have to wait and see how it turns out. On the surface it looks great to me.
I do hope they offer a newbie friendly weekly freeroll that contains boosters once tournaments start.

Me too, I was going to take a break from playing and wait for tournaments but I will be playing now.
