Steem Monsters... What's Going On??
I have been a big fan of Steem Monsters for some time. I was collecting cards like crazy for a while hoping that they would be worth it. What happened? Let's talk about that.
Lack of Reward
For months we've been promised tournaments, airdrops, and other things to make it worthwhile to play. I fought for season rewards for a while, but all the Reward cards are pretty much dirt cheap now. Most common cards are selling for around $0.02. I guess that's what you get when you just keep printing more and more cards. The amount of time needed to compete for the top 10 or even top 100 at this point aren't even close to worth it.Bots
While the bots don't bother me personally, I think the SM crew created the perfect game for them to thrive. We have one daily quest that requires 5 wins. So now we have hundreds of bots competing for that simple 5 daily wins.Boring
We're supposed to have this big SM team that's writing stories, creating more content, etc for the game. We've had basically one play mode for about 4 or 5 months now. Opening the card packs was fun, but now that gold legendary are only going for $50, it really isnt that exciting getting one.Falling Market Cap
What more do I need to say here? I'm not the only one that's getting sick of the game.

I think this is mainly because a lot of Steem Monsters players are now playing Drug Wars.
I hope that Steem Monsters will recover and think that with the quality of the team and the money they have made via Pack sales they should be able to bring in new users outside Steem.
Also, I've heard that the big money people are making in Drug Wars is not sustainable.
I think the STEEM monster crew made a mistake by not adequately rewarding the investors who are paying their bills
I had faith in the early adoption stages of steem monsters I really did... But as time ticks on you can soon see the fatter kid eating all the cake and only leaving u 2 cent commies...
I'm not saying steem monsters is shit I'm just hoping our witnesses can make steem monsters great again
I currently still own 1x gold foil frost giant gifted from the generous @o07 back in the day this proved being a rather valuable card...
Have they really lost value or are the cards just be influenced for quick sales for dirt cheap...
I guess I don't know who really profits at the end once all cards are burned and passed onto family members who then battle em with their rich grandchildren lol

I guess its because I am still new BUT I am still LOVING SteemMonsters.
Now that I know there are supposed to be back stories and such, I am happy all over again waiting for them to be written (and writing my own ones up in my head).
I didn't even realize that there were bots, but that's ok with me. I love playing and more bots means more players to compete with.
Yesterday I saw many cards on sale for just $0.01 and I took that as an opportunity to level up up and up, even if my summoners can't get full use of my now level 5 cards, I still have them for future use.
Haven't been playing as much since they introduced the Reward edition cards. It was a form of inflation that devalued the whole market in my view
