[Steemmonsters community "open letter"] Is it really worth all that attention at this stage?

I guess almost everyone already noticed there's something going on. #steemmonsters posts eeeverywhere, givaways, auctions on @steembay, fanarts, discussions in comment sections etc. All this emerged in just couple of days.....and left me kind of speechless with one question, that is:

Is it really worth all that attention at this stage?

Do I own some Steemmonster cards?

Hell yeah I do. I've always been a card guy. Ice-hockey player cards, pokemons, digimons, naruto arena, even tasted magic a bit. + I've always wondered how it feels to be part of something what explodes later on. Also, I've noticed there's a biiig big push among whale users so I just thought it might really be worth it to buy some cards early on. If not, those tournaments might be fun anyway....

I said might be fun...not will be fun..

So what drives me crazy about Steemmonsters storm?

I just hate moonboys and their lambos! And in last couple of days, Steemit really felt like reading some low-cap altcoin subreddit back in December. Just give me a couple of quick examples:

• "I've never had more fun playing any other game compared to playing Steemmonsters!"

• "Still a good price for Legendary"

• "Steemmonsters WILL make Steemit ten times better!"

How can they make such bold statements? Based on what?

Current steemmonsters state?

...silence...Noone fucking knows! It just blows my mind, how can people go totally crazy like this. We got like 50 (srry not sure about the exact number) nice fancy cards and all we can do is to buy packs and enjoy couple of seconds while opening them. + @aggroed posts some thoughs about how work advances + some details on fighting/combat system....but that's all. That's steemmonsters right now :) So why all that fuss?

Don't get me wrong - I'm a fan and want the project to succeed!

From what I've read, it seems that @aggroed and @yabapmatt are pretty accomplished devs and they are responsible for steembottracker as well. I wish them and project well! Also I'm a regular packs buyer. But unlike many others, I hope they won't roll it out any sooner that they feel like it's ready. Certainly not because of all the moonboy madness people created out of thin air (based on nice pictures and 20 seconds-long rush of adrenaline while opening the pack).

Once again, I'm not negative on the project itself AT ALL! I like the idea and I wish the project and authors the best. I just hate users making bold statements based on literally zero facts. In my eyes, it kind of hurts the whole ecosystem...

If tomorrow new e.g. "SteemWizards" game with nicer art on cards is released, will all these fanboyz switch to that project? I feel it might very well be the case..So please stop the BOOM and let steemmonsters grow and rise in a steady pace based on devs' work rather than poeple's moon posts....Peace out :) !

Here my EPIC cards (I had to buy two on @steembay, wasn't lucky at all with my packs) :) Don't have any Legendaries and I'm alright with that. There are no rules out yet! So no reason to be sad about it and make false assumptions about their strength based on nothing...
