There is ALWAYS a Bull Market Somewhere....I love markets. And they ALL RHYME...
The chart above is from an article I wrote a little over 4 months ago where I could sense some panic in the initial spike in the @steemmonsters market...
Now that the battles are out I believe it is safe to safe that the steemmonsters prices are on the up and up going forward. Go ahead an try and call a top because no one knows where this thing could go. during the low stages of the chart above you could get cards for basically nothing. I know that @jarvie @davemccoy and MANY OTHERS were gobbling up these Commons and Rares and these low prices like kids in a candy shop. I personally was trying to build a strong splinter and was gobbling them up and combining them months ago before many others were combining.
Regardless, then you could get commons for under 0.04 STEEM, and rares for under 0.10 STEEM. THIS WAS INSANE and many were bailing...AT THE LOWS.
Looking at the market now you can take a glance at this...
Common
$0.42 for a COMMON??? that is 0.5 STEEM...a 10 bagger
Rare
$0.45 for a Rare that is 0.5 STEEM...a 3-5 bagger (depending on buy price)
Epic
$0.90 for the most expensive epic that is 1 STEEM...a 2 bagger
Selenia
And lastly the Selenia (which was poorly mistreated being dumped undr $8 at one point) is $29 which is about 35 STEEM!
Those prices are more like it...

It's amazing how those people who were selling the 3 cent commons weren't listening to those of us yelling from the rooftops about how crazy the prices were.
Oh well, more for me!
ohhhh I remember all those days... I'm super glad you memorialized it (and now) in a post... This place moves in super speed compared to everything else and these cycles are no different! Funny but awesome there Snuf!

I see that Gold Foil prices haven't fluctuated much yet
Once the prize pools in gold tournies are seen...they will be 5x as much as regulars IMO
Seems like golden opportunity!
The prices are keep going up probably as many players get into the game and will burn copies to gain xp for their teams. This will mean more scarcity of the alphas. The betas are getting expensiver now also, there are cases of beta cards being more expensive than the same card in alpha which is crazy.
It's time to congratulate to the team of Steem Monsters. Interesting post.
I was lucky to pick up some cards when they where trading around 3-4 cents per common. Probably as soon as the kickstarter packs come on the market we could see another dip in price but thats purely speculations.
And Always a reason to panic...

It's crazy... people selling common Alpha cards for $0.40. I remember buying them around $0.04 - $0.05
Kickstarter Alpha packs will be released soon, the market will be flooded with Alphas. Sell 'em while you can!
Yeah, the prices were rather low for a while, but they have been shooting up since the gameplay started. People realized they were going to need to level their cards more and started buying up the stock. Soon people will have to head back to packs to get a decent price on cards. Then the prices will drop again. It's a cycle.
