Steem Monsters Journal: The New Gold Standard?
First it was Selenia Sky, then it was the Hydra. These are the cards that have helped to define value in Steem Monsters. And while each in its own regard has been able to serve as the gold standard for the game, is it time for a new champion?
The introduction of the new legendary summoners may prove to hold this title. Clearly there is value added, and amidst the ubiquitous need to prove competitive each provides a key competitive edge over their "regular" summoner counterparts.
Heres a few points to consider:
Likely no more new legendary summoners for a while.
Every team requires a summoner.
To advance, every summoner must be leveled up
The airdrop skewed the rarity of summoners to make them rarer than other beta legendaries.
As it stands now, it appears as if the summoners are holding up their value north of $8. And for a while they even trended higher when other cards trended lower as steem fell. Might we have found a new value champion?
