@good-karma: been getting this error when trying to update within the ios store. tried closing the existing instance running and restarting to the same result. will update if possible

I have same problem, restart of phone solves it.

Great thanks for the tip

Please try again, I just received approval from AppStore for new version! How Exciting... Try perhaps uninstall and reinstall to see if anything changes... Restart might fix the issue...

Here are a few things that you can try that sometimes can help get the connection to the App Store working again.

Go to Settings>General>Date and Time>Set Automatically>Off. Set the date one year ahead. Try to download or update the apps again. If you get an error message, go back to the settings. Correct the date and time (set automatically) then go back and try to download or update the apps again.

Or .... Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Or .... Sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.

Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try again.

Please try the following steps to fix your problem. After each step, check whether you are still having this problem.

  1. Simply double tap the icon of the app that you are unable to download and wait for a few seconds. Your download should resume.
  2. Tap Settings > General > Date and Time > Set Automatically > and slide to turn off “Set Automatically”. Manually set the date one year ahead. Now try to re-download the apps. If you get an error message, go back to turn on “Set Automatically” then try to download the apps again.
  3. Restart your iOS device. Simply press and hold the on/off (sleep/wake) button until you see the red slider and slide the slider to turn your device off. To turn back on, press and hold the on/off button until the Apple logo appears.
  4. Settings > iTunes & App Store > Your Apple ID > Sign Out. Restart your device, then Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try again.
  5. Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi off and then on again.
  6. Reset Network Settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings, and then your iDevice will restart. Note that will reset all network settings including your Wi-Fi passwords.
  7. Reset your device by pressing and holding the sleep/wake button and the Home button together until you see the Apple logo.

Excellent work, not even the main Steemit client has profile pictures or native bookmarking yet. You're well ahead of the curve

Thanks! Mobile user specific features increasing. A lot of ideas that can be improved, implemented. And we are just starting out, in beta. Expect to get new flood of users in near future...

Great work. Just downloading the iOS update now.

Thanks, let me know how it works in you

Working great and replying from it now!

Some great improvements in this version! Notifications are probably the single most useful feature and what will keep me using this app over the web site. And I'm excited to see that one of my suggestions (bookmarking) made it in. Keep up the amazing work!

Thanks, yes bookmarking or favorite posts feature is here with notifications, of course notifications can/will be improved with due time for even better user experience. Keep suggestions coming ;)

Your'e doing amazing work! I wish I was a whale and could vote this way way way up there!

Thanks for your support! ;)

Will give a try of the iOS version when they push the update.

I think if you have already downloaded v1.0.0, whenever new version is available you should be notified by AppStore about update. I am hoping it won't take long, as I am testing push notifications on iOS to push next update.

No, haven't installed 1.0 yet, will wait for the release of 1.1.5.

Great, follow me if you haven't. I will make a post when update is available.

Thanks for sharing

welcome :-) try it out and let me know if it works alright for you, thanks!

I can't comment to different posts.
I used the Android version (on a Samsung S4) and the iOS one (on IPhone 4S).

Is this feature ready ?

Thank you.

Android has ability to comment and make new posts. iOS version 1.1.5 was sent out for review and should be available soon after review is done by Apple, current iOS version 1.0.0 doesn't have ability to comment.

Awesome man it's looking great! Keep up the great work.

Thanks! Will do...

Nice updates waiting to see what else you do with the app.

Thanks! Have you tried it?! Let me know how it works out for you or if you have any suggestions. Android update should be available, if not already.

No i haven't tested it yet, but i will once i get a chance.

Will download and start using it! Please let me know if anybody need people to help test steemit apps. This can be a service that users can help be testting and giving feedback to developers. Currently working on something in this areas.

Of course testing and getting user feedback is crucial and hope users using app and continue to give feedback on what can be improved...

Hi @good-karma, first of all, I just wanted to say a huge thank you for all the work you've put into developing this app. I am a heavy user of my mobile phone, and pretty much do most of my activities on Steemit through mobile.
Can I please request you look into the following for future app updates? I am vision impaired and use a feature called VoiceOver (a screen reader) on iPhone to navigate content. It would be really appreciated if you could improve the accessibility and labeling of the app so that it works better with VoiceOver. This would mean a world of difference for me, as currently many of the buttons are not labelled, and is not very accessible for the vision impaired. Here's a website you may be able to find more info about apps for the vision impaired, or otherwise Apple should have some good resources too. http://www.applevis.com/

Thanks for reading and listening

Jimmy

Thank you Jimmy for stopping by and giving feedback! I will review and see what are the requirements for app to become fully accessible to you! Expect some notes and updates on this, in my future posts.

Thank you so much! Much appreciated.
