For many years did battles rage across the Steemit lands with the Alliance growing stronger with each passing month.
Arthur, now accompanied by the most brave and fearsome warriors in the land - Lancelot, Galahad, Bedivere, Gawain and Bors the Younger all seemed invincible to the ordinary folk of Steemit - so they joined in droves and of course the STEEM naturally followed.
"CHARGE" cried Arthur as he led the final charge against the Orcs of Mount Doom. It was here that the evil magician 'Morgan le Fay' met her bitter end, after being run through by 'Excalibur'. The Axis was overcome once and for all (or so it was thought).
An era of prosperity ensued.
As the newly crowned Monarch, King Arthur's home town of Camelot became the capital of the known world. Merlin the Sorcerer, another hero of the Great Mordor Wars, built for Arthur a magical palace - 'The Court of Camelot' as it were known. A beacon for PEACE AND JUSTICE.
The warrior heros were granted privileged seats at 'The Round Table' where the opinions of all members would bare equal weighting - the beginnings of democracy.
And all was GOOD - at least this is how it appeared.
The Steem was flowing into Camelot, the new central trading hub of the Steemit Lands. Wartime reparation Steem were also arriving daily from defeated axis colonies and so too were the wartime debt tributes from allied villages.
However, whilst Camelot was growing rich - the rest of the world was becoming increasingly poor.
Camelot itself was becoming a cesspool of corruption, gambling, alcoholism and prostitution.
The Great King himself grew greedy, fat and lazy. He ghosted Lady Nimue, whom had become what Arthur described as a "Tiresome Water Wench.' Moving on to marry a busty hooker named Guinevere.
It was not long after this that the Merchant Banker Mordred, came up with the grand plan of creating a 'Federal Reserve' in Camelot, which would print a 'Steem-backed paper tender,' to be issued to creditors in lieu of actual STEEM...

What a great story @sirknight love the whole Steem vs Fiat theme to it too. Don't think fiat will every be replaced though... (Steem is Blockchain fiat anyways!!!)
Fiat is always replaced thecynic - unfortunately it is usually always replaced with more fiat.
I used to believe that crypto including Steem was simply fiat - but not any more.
Gold and silver are a store of value because of the energy which went into their production - exactly what we are doing here - we put our energy into the blockchain and in STEEM the is stored - so long as the internet is running that is.
