Why STEEM is a great buy now even if you don't post on Steem

I respect all Bitcoin maximalists as well as all EOS and Tron fans here. But believe it or not, STEEM is the best investment opportunity today.

At prices as low as $0.18 per STEEM, there is only one way to go ... up up and up! I ain't calling out the bottom but remember there are less than 3 weeks left for the Hard Fork-21 event on Steem chain.

HF-21 will be a game changer and have a huge positive impact on the prices of STEEM. HF-21 favours the passive investors in STEEM in more than one way. The biggest change I see is the increase in curation rewards.

With the proposed 50-50 split of reward pool between authors and curators, curation is almost doubling up from earlier 25% share.

Thus passive investor in Steem will gain a bigger share of the reward pool.

Increased curation activity along with a free downvote provision will have a positive affect on the quality of content being posted and rewarded. Reward distribution won't be concentrated on few posts that use excessive paid upvotes through bots, as posts with huge unjustified rewards will easily get downvoted from many users as it becomes free to do so.

More curation reward (along with a possibility of downvote on a spam content) will also help discourage authors from producing low quality or spam content and encourage them towards curation instead.

All these is going to positively affect the quality of content on the Steem blockchain.

On the other hand, SPS will encourage more development on Steem and fund activities that support promotion of Steem chain. This will help increase the price of STEEM in the long term.

Just think if after the Hard Fork, the prices of STEEM jump from 18 cents to 36 cents or to a more conservative 27 cents, it will be a 50% to 100% return on your investment in a short period. Do you think Bitcoin or EOS can double up by the end of this month? If not, why not consider STEEM.

STEEM won't just appreciate but if you power it up as SP, it can also earn some additional curation income to you.

Today STEEM has several other use cases too. You can use STEEM to invest in several other Steem Engine based tokens and tribes. Investment in some gaming tokens may also pay you some regular dividend income.

Now a days, there are several tribes on Steem, most of them pay between 35% to 50% curation rewards in their tokens. They also have a shorter staking time in comparison to STEEM's 13 weeks powering down period. So investing in these tokens may give you a better return too.
