LIbra Losing Support: The Difference Makers Are UndergroundsteemCreated with Sketch.

What an interesting time we live in.

There is so much happening and the regulators are starting to hit back. The Libra project was a great idea in the minds of the bigwigs at Facebook. On the surface, it looks like something that could be a good deal. It gets people away from Fiat while exposing them to "cryptocurrency". It moves people into the digital age with money opening the opportunity to spend it instantly via the built in market.

From Facebook's perspective, it gets even better. This is a major money grab, one that would net it billions. The only thing required was to get some people to sign on and fund it.

Mission accomplished. Or so Facebook thought.

The regulators are hitting back with full force. My belief is this comes directly from the bankers. The bottom line is Libra is a major threat to fiat currency, hence the entire banking system. Essentially, it could deliver a death blow overnight.

Evidently the regulators threats are working. A number of companies are questioning the decision, with a handful already pulling out. This has many forecasting that the Libra project is on life support.

Isn't it interesting that many companies say back and did nothing? Some, like Apple, went so far as to say that cryptocurrency is not in their future. Money creation belongs with governments according to Apple.

Facebook made one mistake: it was too public.

The company decided to open up the battle with a nuclear bomb. This was not the proper approach. The key, at this time, is stealth mode. Guerrilla tactics are the order of the day.

That means, those projects that are presently out of sight are the ones that have the ability to be the difference makers going forward. Right now, the last place anyone wants to be is in the crosshairs of the regulatory bodies. We are not to the point where the power has swung enough to take something like that on head-to-head. Facebook is learning this lesson the hard way.

Stealth is the way to go. Everyone wants the over night success and then flaunt it. Lambos and wild success is the order of the day.

Unfortunately, that just gets prying eyes. This is a marathon that will take years to unfold. The more attention that is drawn, the hotter it gets. Some of the companies pulling out are big entities. If the likes of Visa and Mastercard are backing down, what do you think it means for much smaller projects?

It is best to let things spread. The numbers are growing across the industry. This means the troops are gaining in number. Facebook tried to end the battle in under a year. It looks like this is not going to work.

We are going to see major companies jump into the fray at some point. Expect Apple, Amazon, and Tesla all to have tokens. What they will do in the meantime is lurk, and let other companies take the hits.

The decentralized nature of things means that most of our power is hidden. We know there is someone with a great idea somewhere in the world coding away without anyone being the wiser. This individual is going to release something incredible on the world in due time. By the time that happens, the world will be ready.

For now, we just need to keep preparing.
