RE: ACCOUNTABILITY IN STEEM-ENGINE TRIBE PRIORITY NUMBER ONE
I think it's worth including the reason as to why the post was downvoted, seeing as this was stated at the time:
The text of the post totals 113 words, and so I can see why this person has reasons to think the post was over-valued.
Not all content will be 1000's of words, but as we have seen on Steem, short content with a high value can be demoralising to the community.
This is a current snapshot of the voters/amount:
pouchon, zeugen, and moyse are seemingly your accounts and account for about 40% of the value of the post, which is quite a lot imo.
Another thing which I would like to mention is the self-voting of comments across your accounts via yourself and your alts.
If you are to discuss holding each other accountable:
Then the door is open for our currently small community to talk about it.
Cheers
Asher
I did not even know about the alts. Going to check transfers and transactions later today. Thanks Ash.
It is a shame for people to be wasting their time doing this, but if we are to protect our network then needs must.
I think we need more accountability like this! Excellent analysis. I have alt accounts and am careful never to upvote my own posts or comments with them (as tempting as it can be). I know that is probably shooting myself in the foot but if we are to grow the community we should really use our votes to curate other people's posts and comments, not our own, to help grow the platform.
Thanks.
This was quite a short collection of data, there is a lot more covering many accounts that could be done. The thing is, it just gets me down 'shoveling shit' all day. I came here to produce and curate sports related content, not to 'police' or call-out any abusive activities.
I really hope the major stakeholders can get together and agree that excessive self-voting, across 1/multiple accounts will have a disastrous effect on our network.
Nice work man.
Yes, short content with zero effort is very demoralising for new users in particular.
Thanks.
Good to see nice people defending our chain from abusers. Regards champ!
Thanks. I hope we can all chip in with this in a fair and organised way soon.
Talk about milking the system. I hate it when users talk about community and doing the right thing yet they are doing the opposite. A post needs to add value and some effort at least. Just posting something is not going to guarantee anything if the community is awake to what is happening. Thanks for showing everyone what is happening in this case.
