SteemKnights interview

I must admit that this game caught me by surprise. I’m not sure how I not heard about this awesome game sooner.
SteemKnights is about to be the first game launched on Steem blockchain with 3D graphics!

Mickvir:
Can you give us a background on what type of game SteemKnights is?

SteemKnights:
Sure. SteemKnights is a chess-like board game with elements of RPS ( Rock, Paper, Scissors). That means you move your knights over the battlefield designed as chessboard.
You can only move one knight for one field each turn.
Every knight has one specific weapon which gets chosen randomly at the beginning of the match. This is where the RPS elements come to play. Each weapon beats one and loses to the other. For example: sword beats bow but loses to magic wand. You find the information on our website https://steemknights.com.

Mickvir:
I saw on your app that you can wager on the battles. Can you play without doing this and will players be able to choose an amount to wager?

SteemKnights:
There is a free2play option in SteemKnights as well. We wanted to allow the users the possibility to give this game a shot without risking steem for every game.
At the current state of the game we only have fixed amounts you can bet. You have to imagine the single amounts as lobbies where you wait for enemies. We did this for match making reasons.
But as you can see on our roadmap we planned to develop a feature where users can create custom games. This means you can simply set the steem amount you like and go for it.

Mickvir:
What game modes are available , do you support player vs player, player vs ai or both?

SteemKnights:
SteemKnights is a PvP only game. There is no AI right now which you can battle.

Mickvir:
When the game is launched what elements of the game will be available on launch ?

SteemKnights:
At launch date we release the Android and Web version. The features include:

• play battles ( for free and for steem )
• ref friends
• get a daily payout in steem
• buy blessings
• monitor almost every move on the blockchain

That would be all for the first release.

Mickvir:
Will the in game currency/currencies be tradable on SteemEngine?

SteemKnights:
No, neither our knight emblems nor our blessings will be tradable on Steem Engine.

Mickvir:
Will there be a leaderboard to highlight those that are expert Steem Knights players?

SteemKnights:
We discussed a feature like that but for the beta release we kept the scope small. At first it is important that we can get a feeling how the game works with more then just a few players at a time. If the users really want this and the game is stable I am pretty sure we will add this feature.

Mickvir:
Is there anything else you would like to let everyone know about?

SteemKnights:
Yes there is.

Lords and Ladies please keep in mind that this is a beta release. Please help us to build something awesome for this awesome community starting on launch day! There will be bugs and glitches, it is up to you to report them! We will stay in close contact and will try to fix all bugs/glitches as soon as possible!
Additionally we know that some features are not optimal right now (e.g. our login with Steemconnect) but we will take care of all this! But, to achieve this we need your support. And right now I am pretty positive that if we will stand together and that there are great times before us!
