Steem Round Table

In trying to find myself, I got broken into many pieces, so each time you notice I'm suddenly quiet or lost in thoughts, just know I'm trying to put back these pieces together.

Behavioral pattern

I attended an event sometime ago. It was for children's day, I'm not really sure I can tell why I was there but what amazed me was the way the program was organised. The fact that kids were in control of everything the adults used to control for the entire day. Just that day though before everything got out of control. They all assumed the same position and job description at the end of the day.

It is an organizational habit for a company to strengthen the arms of its staff by performing a type of job rotation where every employee gets to work at all positions within it. This will make all the employees savvy in almost all the job positions available. Not just that, the employee will also develop more skills both to the advantage of the company, and most of all to the self.

Even some homes are not counted out of this pattern of behavior as there is a time when the couple might decide to switch roles, for example, maybe dad takes the kids to school today, and mom makes breakfast, or dad makes breakfast and mom takes the kids to school. Either ways, the roles switch to lighten up the partners burden.

So I was wondering, what if the steemit platform was set in a way that huge vests are allocated to users based on some metrics that are designed to be beneficial to both the company and the users rather than leaving only the investors with huge vests. For example, based on some metrics, every user is entitled to a certain huge amount of vests for a particular period of time. I.e, every user has a fair chance at becoming a whale for a specific period of time.

Role Reversal

Some minnows are honestly not prepared to become whales given the chance. I believe being a whale should not be only about the size of the wallet, but also about the track record of contribution to the growth and development of the ecosystem. I think a whale should be more concerned about their investment such that it urges them to be versatile in the knowledge about the entire ecosystem and support it's goals and values. I feel being a whale is more than having a large upvote.

How about the whales? If roles were to be reversed, do they have the strength to switch roles to being a minnow again? If this approach were to be possible, would this make the platform more conducive than it is now?

Definitely every human aspires to go higher than they were before, so it is highly unlikely that this kind of event will ever take place on this platform. Every system has a necessary learning curve and it is highly adviceable that steps are not being skipped, because how high someone can get is perpendicular to the rate at which the person can fall.

If the baton were to be passed on to you, are you ready to take over and change your status for life? Or are you going to be just greedy and ruin the entire system?

If your whale status were to be reversed according your performance on the system, will you be doing anything better than you're doing now?

These are personal questions that should be reflected on. If there is a good you can do now, why not do it?

If the steem ecosystem was a round table where whatever you've given comes back to you, will you have a different approach?

Have a wonderful evening.

The idea of spreading power and responsibility around qualified Steemians, to boost the platform, makes sense.

Some of the dolphins, in particular, persistently grow the platform by constantly curating and encouraging redfish and minnows, encouraging optimism, growth and retention.

Some don't have the time or inclination.

I have no doubt that if the first category of dolphins were delegated whalepower, perhaps awarded by democratic vote, they would use it to the benefit of the platform, because they already demonstrated that conscientiousness and responsibility with their own resources.

I single out dolphins, in particular, because they have demonstrated the faith and investment in Steem to merit being rewarded with greater power and responsibility. It just doesn't make sense to give power to those who are completely new, like me, lol.

I totally agree with you, hmmmn maybe you should begin to prepare yourself, the future is here, and you might just get it

You know you are a whale @mistikili. And you are already contributing immensely to the community. Having millions of you on steemit, will make it more fun.

One will accept, that division of labour plays a major role, in economy development. It even applies in family raising and upbringing.

Burdens are lessen, and the love keeps growing strong when both partners have each others 5 and 6, especially in relationships.
