A couple of cards from my Magic the Gathering Oracle deck

Happy Tuesday Steemit!

Today I'm going to share a couple of cards from my Magic the Gathering Oracle deck. (a work in progress)

After a few years of dreaming of a tarot deck made of Magic cards, I started building an Oracle deck.

I'm currently not worried about adhering to a 78 card structure like tarot, I'm just building a deck that will give good readings.

The 2 that I will show today both deal with illusion.

This card shows an illusion creature.
In the game, when this creature is on the battlefield, it gives you hexproof, protecting you from malicious bullshit.
This card represents illusion that makes you stronger... a.k.a. Faith.

This is a positive card of belief in something making us strong and protected... even if the the thing we believe in is an illusion.

The second illusion card is a negative card.
This type of illusion is a fear that keeps us from achieving our potential, and it also gives us a fair amount of torment.
In the game, this card counters a spell and makes us put cards directly in the graveyard from our library.
In life, this energy causes us to quit trying, and it robs us of whatever we were about to do next.
The fear shown in this card is also illusion, and not based on anything real.
Fear robbing us of our potential and plans.
