My Sister-100 Days of Poetry Challenge: Day Seventy Three
My Sister
I am scared to think
of you not in my life,
scared to face the reality
that you are having to fight,
I am not ready to imagine
you not being here,
I try so hard
to not give into that fear,
I try to stay strong,
to be positive and brave,
to keep my head afloat
of all these emotions
that continue to rage
inside of my body
and create massive waves
that at times overwhelm me
and cause me to break down
to allow all the sadness
to drag me to the ground.
But I always get up
because I will see you
become strong,
I will picture you healthy
I will picture you well
I envisage your healing
I will see you excel.

I remember all those feelings. I was sure many times that my brother wouldn't make it. I know it ways heavy on your heart. I will continue to see her healed, every cell of her body glowing with vibrant health, and I'll send more reiki too.

With your permission, I'd like to add her to my meditation group's prayer list, so that we can join our energies with yours in seeing her well and healthy.
In the meantime, you might suggest that she begin drinking miso doup twice daily, made from real miso paste, not powdered, as it is commonly used to help mitigate the results fro chemo and radiation.
Even if she is going a more natural route, it is quite nourishing and health-giving, on many levels, and can help her to keep up her strength.
I'll also send her Matrix for strength and healing (kinda sorta like reiki).
