Happiness Is A Good Fever (#DAY 22)
It could have been you sleeping out in the cold
Shivering from the injections of the night visitors
It could have been you sleeping under the bridge
With your head behind a fridge
It could have been you begging for alms
Stretching your arms as rods of textiles
Yes it could have been you
Who'd detest why the sky's still blue
But it isn't right?
So then why frown?
When your day isn't brown
Why put your soul and face down?
Happiness is a good fever
So don't drink the syrup of sorrow looking for a cure
When this fever brings delight and smiles so pure
Don't follow gloom as it tries to lure
Live life with smiles even if you've not got much
Let sorrows and worries get a flush
So your heart can blush
From the sweetness of happiness' lush

I liked the message and it got across pretty decent .a bit too much rhyming that seemed like you weren’t full expressing yourself but just rhyming and making sense
Thanks for your evaluation..... I just wanted the rhyme to be natural and flow freely
So I caught myself smiling... Lol... This is lovely .
Totally agree with this , you don't need the universe and it's riches for you to be happy. Thanks for sharing @sammynathaniels
You are welcome
Wow! This is such a powerful line and a true call to appreciate what we are given!
what we are given is far greater than what we are looking for.... Happiness is from within
Congratulations! Your poem was featured in Poets United's Daily Dose #65.
